Web Design

Every web site is an experience. As a small business owner, you are in control of that experience. How do you want your user to feel? What do you want them to do? Design is not just about pretty pictures or bells and whistles. Design is about usability. Design is about storytelling. And most of all, design is about getting a result--building your business. Without results, it's not web design. It's web art.

Copywriting

Copy is the redheaded stepchild of the marketing world. Its often under-estimated, under-valued and under-funded. Because, hey, anybody can write, right? Wrong.

There is certain skill to writing marketing copy and an even more finely honed art for web content. Engaging copy is essential for grabbing your visitor’s interest and directing the visitor to take some kind of action--all without being too ham-handed or verbose. The additional challenge for web content is that you cannot control the way your user interacts with your site. Not everyone clicks in sequential order. And nobody reads. And they don't really care about you. Visitors go to your site thinking, "What's in it for me?" So how do you write for audience that doesn't really want to know what you have to say?

Identity Design

Logos are fun... and scary. Fun because they offer a chance for serious creativity. Scary because people expect a lot of a logo. Logos start a visual conversation with your customer -- they set a tone, and communicate a little of who you are and what you do. They need to be simple, but hardworking. And that's a tough balance to strike.

In order to create a logo, we start by asking you a lot of questions. Many folks roll their eyes about half way through our questionnaire, but quite often clients come back to us grateful for the chance to really think through their positioning and their goals, having to put on paper the business ideas that previously lived only in their heads.

Print Design

Sometimes, the folks at Walker Interactive escape the virtual world and go outside, blinking in the sunlight and stretching our arms in the breeze. That's the same feeling when we get to do print work. Actually, no it's not, because print work is still built on the computer, which means we keep our folks stuck inside anyway.

We just work at much higher resolutions.

Motion and Animation

This category is everything that isn't a web site -- trade show presentations, banner ads and other animations. These projects are designed in much much higher definition and are a great way to make an impact!
