But this page is about us, so here's our elevator pitch: 

Walker Interactive is the result of 25 years combined professional experience by the co-founders, Tony Walker and Lauren Walker. One thinks visually. One thinks strategically. We bring a fresh blend of old-school marketing and new-school technology to our creative design. Whether a logo, a web site, a demonstration or a brochure, we can take you from first sketch to launch to search engine optimization.

Tony Walker is the all-things technical and design guru of the team. He defied sterotypes as a student in Manchester, England by combining his love of art with his passion for computers, while maintaining a healthy presence on the football field (that's soccer to all you Americans.) After a few years in the Caribbean sun as first mate on a Catamaran, Tony came stateside and got serious. In the late 1990's, he found his true calling: web site design. 

  • As an Adobe/Macromedia certified designer, Tony imbues his work with style and spirit, balancing both form and function.
  • He embraces new technology while keeping true to evergreen design principles.
  • Tony is well-versed in making sites W3C compliant and is always on the hunt for new ways to make information easier and more enjoyable to find.
  • In addition to web design, Tony is a painter, black belt in Shotokan Karate and PADI Certified Rescue Diver/DiveMaster Candidate.
 
 

 

Lauren Walker makes the trains run on time and acts as chief wordsmith of the team. Lauren hails from the Windy City, but also called New York home for a good decade. Lauren is passionate about process and prides herself on crafting messaging that best communicates the work of her clients in language that resonates with their customers. 


  • Lauren has been a copywriter for over 15 years, having worked for such companies as Reader’s Digest, IBM, Showtime and the NBA, and new media companies such as Webloyalty and Synapse, Inc.
  • She has an ongoing consultancy position with IBM, developing and managing feature stories for the ibm.com homepage team.
  • Lauren is a branding buff, believing that an identity is more than just a logo; it’s a complete biography that should be integrated into all manner of communications.
  • In addition to running Walker Interactive, Lauren is a theater geek, digital photographer and dedicated banana-bread baker.
